Frequently Asked Questions
Is this QR code generator free? Are there any limits?
100% free with no daily limit, no watermark, no signup. Generate as many QR codes as you want with full styling, logos and high-resolution downloads.
Will my QR code expire?
Never. The QR code is a static image that encodes your data directly — it doesn't go through our servers. As long as the URL/text inside is valid, the QR works forever.
Can I add a logo to my QR code?
Yes. Open the Logo tab, upload any PNG/JPG/SVG, and adjust size + margin. Set Error Correction to "High (30%)" so the QR still scans even with the logo on top.
What's the difference between PNG, SVG and JPG download?
SVG is a vector — perfect quality at any size, ideal for printing on banners or business cards. PNG (1024—1024 px) is best for web/social. JPG is smaller but loses transparency.
What can I encode in the QR code?
URLs, plain text, email (with subject + body), phone numbers, SMS, WiFi credentials, and full vCard contact details. Pick the type from the Content tab.
Why do my QR colors not scan?
Phones need contrast. Always use a darker color for the dots than the background. Light-blue on white or yellow on white often fails — go with black/dark on white for best results.
About this tool — QR Code Generator with Logo
This is a free, browser-based QR code generator with full design control: custom dot shapes, gradients, rounded corner styles, your own logo in the centre, and high-resolution PNG / SVG / JPG downloads. There are no daily limits, no watermarks, and no signup. Every QR is generated locally on your device — your data and logo files never leave your browser.
What is a QR code?
A QR (Quick Response) code is a two-dimensional barcode that encodes text — most often a URL, but also Wi-Fi credentials, email addresses, phone numbers, vCards or plain text. A smartphone camera reads the dot pattern in milliseconds and decodes it into the original data. QR codes were invented by Denso Wave in 1994 for tracking auto parts; today they are everywhere from restaurant menus to crypto wallets, mobile payments, business cards, packaging and museum exhibits.
Static vs dynamic QR codes
This generator creates static QR codes — the encoded data is baked directly into the dot pattern. That means the QR will work forever, even if our website goes offline tomorrow. Many paid services sell "dynamic" QRs that go through a redirect server you must keep paying for; if they shut down, your printed QR stops working. Static QRs cannot be edited after they are generated, but they cannot be turned off either. For most use cases — posters, business cards, menus, signage — static is the right choice.
Picking the right error correction level
Low (L) — 7%: smallest file, but a single smudge can break the scan. Use only for clean digital displays.
Medium (M) — 15%: the default. Good balance of size and reliability for most uses.
Quartile (Q) — 25%: handles minor wear and small overlays. Good for printed material.
High (H) — 30%: required if you add a logo overlay. The redundancy lets the scanner reconstruct the data behind the logo.
Tips for QR codes that scan reliably
Maintain contrast. Use dark dots on a light background. Light blue on white, yellow on white, or pastel-on-pastel often fail to scan even though they look fine on screen.
Keep a quiet zone. Leave at least four modules of empty space around the QR. Cropping right to the edge of the dots makes scanners give up.
Test before printing. Scan with three different phones (one iPhone, two Androids) before you order 1000 business cards. Different camera apps have different tolerances.
Size for distance. A rough rule: the QR should be at least distance / 10 wide. So a poster scanned from 2 m needs a QR at least 20 cm wide.
For logos, set error correction to H. Keep the logo under 25% of the QR area or scanning becomes unreliable.
Privacy
Everything runs in your browser using the qr-code-styling library. No data — including the URL or text you encode and any logo image you upload — is sent to any server. You can disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded and the tool will still work perfectly.
